This is the gentleman who took me on as a student when we lived in Madisonville, Tennessee, following our return from Italy. He is a gifted, natural talent who can create a complete figure with about ten strokes of a Conte crayon-using either hand! He is equally comfortable with watercolors, oils or charcoal. Besides being a rare, true natural, he trained with some of the best artists living in San Francisco in the 1950's and '60's. He did his best to gently pass-on the many important lessons he's learned from others. I have the utmost respect for this incredibly talented and generous artist and owe any of my small success to him. We have been friends for about fourteen years and he continues to provide advice, critique my work and suggest solutions to my countless problems with oil painting. I'm so pleased to introduce him to you here.
